to host VI General Assembly |

than 80 countries expected to attend the
world meeting |

The 6th
General Assembly is set for the beginning
of November 7-9, 2005, at The Emerald
Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. All Trade
Points worldwide are invited to participate
this world meeting. Several trade
issues, specifically SME development
strategies, will be in the focus.
The world
event this year is hosted in Thailand
under close cooperation with the World
Trade Point Federation (WTPF) and
UNCTAD with the support of Ministry
of Industry of Thailand, the Department
of Industrial Promotion, the Office
of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion,
Thailand Convention and Exhibition
Bureau (TCEB). Chiang
Mai Trade Point, the host country
of this assembly, has the pleasure
to invite all representatives of Trade
Points worldwide in five continents,
namely Africa, America, Asia/Pacific,
Arab Countries and Europe to attend
this prestigious event in Thailand.
Along with this year’s meeting, subjects
regard to international trade issues
and export promotion will be discussed.
The meeting
aims to promote strong cooperation
among all Trade Points in terms of
trade development, export promotion
and development of technologies for
small-medium sized companies.

The
World SME Forum 2005 to be firstly launched
in Thailand |

renowned speakers all plan to participate
in this worldclass forum |

The first
new event in Thailand for small and
medium-sized companies is to be open
on 7 November, 2005. The meeting will
bring together SME enterpreneurs, investors
and government officials across the
world and beyond. Main trade issues
regard to the international markets
and distribution channels for SMEs will
be in the focus whereas well-known speakers
will conceptualize the future of SMEs.
Hosted
by Thailand, the World SME Forum 2005
is projected to discuss the situations
of worldwide SMEs and promote partnership
models between enterpreneurs, exporters
and importers with business opportunities.
At this
time, Thailand Prime Minister, Mr.Thaksin
Shinawatra, and the UNCTAD’s Secretary-General,
Dr.Supachai Panichpakdi, will preside
over the forum and will give their visions
and supports towards all SMEs.
Updated information
and details of SMEs around the world
will be talked by all invited speakers
from five continets, namely Africa,
America, Asia/Pacific, Arab Countries
and Europe, with trade opportunities
for exporters and importers to meet.
Break out sessions will provide opportunities
to discuss and help promote mutual benefits.
This world
meeting is strongly convinced to ensure
